The Story of Sunny Day Pancakes

We’re Royal and North Deeb, teenage brothers from a house that’s always a little loud, usually smells like something baking, and somehow has just enough counter space for five kids, a mom who’s a legit professional baker, and a dad who designs and makes products for a living.

Sunny Day Pancakes started in 2022 because of something pretty simple: we realized store-bought pancake mixes tasted… fine. But only fine. And once you know what real ingredients taste like, the kind our mom uses when she mills whole grains for bread, you can’t go back. We’d grown up eating the good stuff, and we could tell right away that pancakes didn’t have to be bland or gummy or drowned in syrup to be interesting.

So we started experimenting. Mixing flours, testing ratios, trying again, and learning how much difference a single ingredient can make. We figured if we could taste that difference, other people could too. And if we could make a mix that felt homemade but still easy, then maybe we could help families get the same feeling we grew up with: that food can be simple and still be amazing when you take care with it.

Now we work side-by-side with our mom, she helps us keep our standards high, while we build out new flavors we’re genuinely proud of: Lemon Poppy Seed, Double Chocolate, Pumpkin Spice, Vanilla Buttermilk and the one we obsessed over the longest, Pumpkin Spice . All made with real ingredients, nothing sneaky, and no shortcuts.

Sunny Day Pancakes isn’t just a business for us. It’s our way of sharing a piece of hom, a piece of what we were taught about good food, quality, and doing things the right way even when no one’s watching.

And if we’re lucky, maybe one day you’ll taste one of our mixes and think,
“Wow… this is what pancakes were supposed to be.”
